They are admired for their talents. You could give anyone a song to sing or
a dance to perform but they wouldn’t make it anywhere, if they had no
rhythm or were tone deaf. And its not just Kpop artists. Pop stars
everywhere buy songs that other people have written and use them. Why are
you generalizing everything? And they have written some of their own
songs…are you even a sone? Honestly you make them seem like talentless
robots, which isn’t what they are. Check you facts dude.
Beyonce co-wrote the song in Dreamgirls got an oscar for (if memory serves)
but her name had to be removed so it would qualify for the oscar

artist? Beyoncé doesn’t choreograph all her dance moves, is she not an
artist? That’s a really broad generalization for you to make. I think the
fact that they’re going above and beyond what “idols” normally do that they
are already are artists. The only person I can think of who actually wrote
and choreographed almost everything they did was Michael Jackson. Is he the
only true artist their is/was then?
i’m still holding my opinion about how capable their parents are,to a group
as big as SNSD,i believe the company dont want to take a risk harming their
treasure,but i dont denied the fact that to those influenting-powerful male
figure,these girls are tempting,not only becoz they are pretty but world

person who is skilled in some type of task, occupation, or expression.
That’s not disputed any time, any place, or anywhere. The fact is that the
K-Pop industry is fueled by virtually unknown songwriters and dance
choreographers. The performers are exactly what they are. Performers. No
more, no less. They can neither write up lyrics, nor develop new song
music, nor dance choreography. Idols are those that people admire.
So the definition of an artist: write, produce, compose all your
songs/albums, choreograph your own dances, schedule your own press
conferences, tours etc, manage yourself basically. Does that sound about
right then? And just for the record, Beyoncé does have a lot of control
over what she does, she actually IS her own manager.
Beyonce actually co writes a lot like in Irreplacable, say my name, single
ladies, Halo to name a few, which is impressive. Remember Beyonce will be a
co-writer, so while Neyo did some work, Beyonce also contributed. And Yuri
and Seohyun wrote XYZ and Sooyoung wrote How Great is Your Love.

I meant songs from her own album- not necessarily ALL(great songs can be
written by those who’re tone deaf after all) but at least *most* of them.
The only reason I’m curious is because there were times when she said she
wrote songs, but they were Neyo’s work.Anyway, I’m not a big fan of hers so
I guess I wouldn’t even know.She seems really hardworking though, so good
for her
There’s nothing wrong in being idols instead of artists and there is a
difference, not in talent, though.It’s people’s reactions and stereotypes
about the words that make one more desirable than the other.Rihanna doesn’t
write most of her songs but she’s an entertainer/performer,and at most a
recording artist.Katy Perry,love her or hate her, doesn’t just write most
of her songs(and songs for other pop stars),she also has control over her
concepts,so she’s an artist in pretty much every sense.

I don’t think an artist has to do ALL that. A choreographer and manager
are just that- choreographers and managers. Scheduling stuff can be done by
the artist, but I don’t think that needs to be done.An artist in all,has
control over their *music* and their *image* if they choose to even focus
on the latter.The only reason I don’t see SNSD as artists is because they
HATE their concepts.As for Beyonce, I’m just wondering, does she write her
own songs now?If she does,then I take back what I said.
Reflection
I’ll be clear that Hyoyeon is on the bottom of my bias order, but I
actually liked her little “eye contact” shpeel when they were in their
group huddle. For once she wasn’t sounding bossy, just helpful. Usually I
think she is a bit snotty, but that’s just me..NO hate please! And Tiffany
is number one for me, tied with Taeyeon, but I gotta say. That stripped
outfit did not flatter her AT ALL. Lol poor girl. I didn’t like those
outfits to begin with anyways.

They do not HATE their concepts. Some members have said that they didn’t
like some of them at first but it’s not like they absolutely detest all
their songs or outfits or whatever. And yes Beyoncé co-writes most, if not

That’s like saying “until you find out they have written and co-written a
lot of their songs, you’ll never truly live up to the definition of sone”
And an artist is someone who writes, performs or make music. You might
wanna do some research before you comment.

think that if they had more of a choice over things they’d stick with stuff

their Girls & Peace work, just my opinion, but I think that’s their best
album,if only because I’m A Diamond is there.
That’s such bullshit haha they can all sing really well, the difference is
they can’t all sing really well and dance at the same time. It’s almost
physically impossible for the human body to sing well while doing a
rigurous dance move duo to contotion and compression. If they were all just
sitting and singing they are all good ( see all the performances where they
just sit and sing) which is why they were chosen out of thousands of
trainees and trained since they were in elementary school lol.
