I really liked this song before seeing the translation. I mean…the song
changes attitudes and emotions so much I can’t tell what’s going on. First
a person poking fun at a girl for dressing up, then the exclamation of a
girl finding a boy (that all makes sense) then suddenly “My boy doesn’t
treat me like a girl”.
What?
Now that I understand the song its the weirdest written song that dosent
make any sense song i have ever heard!

I never looked up the lyrics translation till now but even when I had no
idea what they were saying, by the video alone I knew what they meant so
overall visuals do help with amazing vocals dance ect

true, but it’s only 1:40 in the video. if there wasn’t that minute-long
intro, then it would make sense. but unfortunately, no. you would be in the
middle of the second verse at 1:40 in an audio stream.

is it just me, but with all the scene changes, it’s like four videos

what the song means…. there are so many people bashing SNSD because of

kind of. the fast part of the music actually starts at 1:35, but the
singing “i got a boy blah blah etc.” does start roughly 1:40, 1:41. so
correct in that way.

To sum it all up, First Part: It’s about a girl’s critics critiquing on how
the girl had changed because of the guy she’s dating. Telling her she’s
getting overconfident and trying to hard to impress the guy by changing her
features. Chorus: It’s about how the said girl defends her actions by
stating the reasons why she did those stuff. He’s cool, he’s kind, he stole
my heart, etc, it may seem very quixotic, but still.
In my defense, 1:40 can also refer to the time in the video. You can click
it yourself and find out that it can also be applied.
