Koreans speak English with a very different accent. So when someone speaks
English “normally” they don’t understand. She’s very good, actually, it
amazes me how SNSD can talk in Korean, English and Japanese.

Wow!.. SNSD Tiffany’s english is amazing. Even her native country is South
Korea but she was born and grew up in America. Her family is in L.A, USA.
She is an American, a Californian girl from Los Angeles and her nationality
is America. She is a citizen of USA. How come she has such amazing english
ability?.. So fluent. Wow!.. Daebak.. :D

Tiffany is a native English speaker though. This is kind of like praising
Taeyeon for her amazing Korean.

Ok, to everyone saying that Tiffany sounds valley girl, no she does not.
There are 24 dialects spoken in the US. Hers is used in the Northwest and
is called “Standard American English” (no joke that’s what it’s called).
This is the dialect that is used when someone pursuing/ has a job in media
(news, movies, tv shows, plays) that is widely broadcasted. So to say that
she sounds valley girl isn’t fair. You also have to consider the fact that
she is switching languages and it can be hard when she doesn’t use English
constantly anymore.

To be honest she isn’t really too great at english as most people are
commenting and thinking. She makes a ton of errors and that just shows shes
been away from school and english speaking people for a long time.
Tiff uses just basic here tho.. hahaha
That’s just basic english. I’m a Sone for years now and I kinda disagree
with SM having the concept that only Tiffany unnie can speak the language.
There are two korean-americans in the group. I just hope they acknowledge
