Sorry for the depressing video! I know, I didn’t actually react very much, but there’s something about feeling pressure from knowing who’s going to watch this, and it makes it hard for me to…

Beautiful things have been said here. Thanks for being such a steady voice
of positivism, man. I totally understand where you’re coming from when
you’re being all emotional here–same way I felt too.

I just want to add to what you said here. We support GG in its
entirety–all the members, the creative team behind their music, and YES
even SM! (I thought this would be obvious, but apparently a lot of people
do hate on SM so ferociously ad absurdum. To these people, I say do you
really think GG would be a thing if SM weren’t around to train them,
support them, and care for them? Like it or not, we have SM to thank for
bringing the girls together and supporting them to make music that we all
enjoy. Anyway, I digress.) I guess bottom line is I just want to speak
peace and reconciliation over the whole situation. Hating is not helping at
all (especially when we, as Awkward Kpop rightly put it, might never know
what really went down and not have all the information).

So there you go, guys. My personal take on the whole situation. I don’t
support SNSD as a 9. I support them as 9 girls who live out their dreams
and bring happiness to people. Even though now only 8 remain in the group,
all 9 individuals still have my support. Much love to SNSD, to Jessica too!
Have a pleasant day.

K-Pop Biased says:

I really agree with everything you said about staying neutral. And what you
said at the end about kpop and happiness and depression was kind of
beautiful and I related to it so much.

Mandy Schaan says:

I really enjoy your videos, they really make me happy and we have almost
the same opinions and it’s really cool to find someone else who thinks the
same as me! Thank you!!

Franklin Sone says:

i totally agree. i’m not devastated for jessica, we don’t know what
happened really, but we all have been in this trip and was so easy to see
that jessica’s heart was not in GG since a long time ago.
At the end of this situation, jessica would have left GG anyways, all the
girls knew it and sm maybe kick her out for not going to work in sm. and
being out of Sk for entire september. and all that facts caused that sm
finally decided to annouce the break at the end of september. and not after
tokyo dome concert.
now divine and the video were recorder and announced before even the new
came out so…it’s too much coincidente tbh. i think everything was already
prepared for this.
thank you for your video. you’re such a sweet and tender soul. c:

K-Pop Biased says:

I thought I was over it, but I guess not because I’m crying again. I have
no coherent words. I loved this song so much and I wanted to be happy about
how beautiful they are but now the song almost feels like SNSD’s goodbye,
or goodbye to the time when everything was perfect.

9 forever says:

To me this kind of feels like a ‘goodbye’ song for Jessica

bronzenrule says:

As to why one is so emotionally invested in these ladies (because we fell
in love with not just their music but their humanity, vulnerability, flaws,
quirks, loyalty, commitment to their work, to each other, and to fans), to
paraphrase St. Thomas Aquinas: to a Kpop fan, no explanation is necessary;
to a non-Kpop fan, no explanation is possible.
