Tiffany did fuck up the high notes, but…she did really well for someone
who speaks english as a second and maybe 3rd language.
I know this is old, but everyone’s saying Tiffany f*cked up and the only
parts I heard her mess up was “air” and “brave”. Other than that, it
sounded okay to me. Just nerves. Taeyeon was outstanding.

Oh God…Taeyeon should have sung the American and Tiffany the Korean
anthem. Don’t tell me that Tiffany sang the American just because she
speaks English better.I think Taeyeon could have learnt it as well and she

Tiffany’s USA national anthem version is the best version i’ve ever heard
I just read some comments saying that tiffany purposely sang the national
anthem with a r&b tone but pls understand that tiffany’s voice IS husky and
no she did not do it on purpose. Shes born with that voice and its not some
chest voice u guys said.. i agree that she embarrassed me but she speaks
korean alot and so when she had to sing english. It might make her alittle
nervous. But nonetheless, shes very brave to take on the challenge

Tiffany wasn’t good at the national anthem……I’m a fan of SNSD but this
performance wasn’t good. Star spangled banner is an anthem. It should be
sung straight. She breathed in between many words like “gallant(breathe)
ly” which sounded really weird. She also strained and added A LOT of
vocalizing i almost every single word.
when you put headphones. sound is lowered almost a half tone.
you need to be a super hero to sing it at the right tone while listening to
the backing track on headphones while everyone else is listening to the
same backing track in an open stadium.
technically is was her fault for not removing the headphones and just
singing.

singing is bad and if u said she did well at korean music broadcast, it is
because they tune the microphone. Just admit it

Firstly, Korean transliteration is called Romanisation. It is only called
romaji for Japanese. And there are many systems to Romanise Korean. Tae-yun
and Taeyeon are some of them. There is no system that spells it as Teyon.
Either way, there is no “correct” way to Romanise it. The only correct
spelling is 태연. Now go – go cry in a corner about how ignorant you are.

feel nervous which eventually leads to mistakes. Try putting yourself in

Tiffany has amazing control of her voice, though she doesn’t have the
vocals that can reach that high of a note. Jessica would have been more
suited. As for taeyeon, she did an awesome job. Overall they did a great

Our (America’s) national anthem is extremely hard to sing, and i think
Tiffany did great! Yes, her voice strained a little bit, but almost
everyone’s does when they sing it.
You guys are way too harsh on Tiffany. I don’t think Tiffany did that bad
to be honest, yes she did strain a few times but she does have a voice for
that kind of song, she can do high notes if only she had a little more
vocal training she would’ve strained less. It is also important to note
that Tiffany has had an operation a few years ago on her vocal nodules
which affected her vocal range so that’s why she is not extremely good at
singing but I don’t think she did that bad. Anyway, Taeyeon did AMAZING!
